How to Create a Brighter Future

Personal Development

As a matter of fact the world owes a man nothing that he does not earn. In this life a man gets about what he is worth, and he must render an equivalent for what is given him. There is no such thing as inactive success. ~ Russell H. Conwell

If anyone would have told me a few years ago that I would be an online marketer and writer, I would not have believed them. It would have been the very last job I would have thought I would end up doing.  Somehow I never felt like much of a marketing person.

An executive position would have seemed like a much more probable seat than the online marketing chair I’m sitting in right now.  However, fate is always at hand to organize things for us, and so it happened that I now find myself seated at my table—a keyboard in front of me, working away many hours a day on my online marketing businesses and in my writing.

While fate may lead us to a certain door, it’s up to us to exercise our will power and wade through the obstacles to reach our destination.

See And Grasp Opportunities

As soon as we decide on our goals toward which we’re making the journey, we enter a situation where it’s possible for us to see and grasp all opportunities that contribute toward the end.

You may never have dreamed that you would develop an interest in online marketing, but if you’re here, reading this, you’re interested.  Turning this interest into reality depends on how strongly you want it.

It’s always advisable to select an occupation that fits your own genius and for one you see a demand well into the future. Once you decide to go ahead and do it, start equipping yourself by reading and observing how things are done.

I see the tendency among MANY people to wait for a favorable opportunity, to get into the battle field. They wait for years without realizing the opportunity has existed all along, as strongly as a tattoo.

But while they were sitting down and dreaming about the opportunity, or trying to be a perfectionist, there are always going to be others with initiative who have risen and acted much sooner and succeeded.  Dealing with heavy competition online is not easy.

Even the most wonderful ideas are quite worthless until they are put into practice.  People who venture ahead of others are always rewarded, while others stay behind the door, lamenting over their loss.

“Well Enough” Is Never Enough

Abraham Lincoln, one of the greatest men the world has ever seen, owed his success to a single rule: he put his whole mind to whatever he did until the task was completed.

It’s not just Lincoln, that’s the secret of all successful people.

The words, “well enough” indicates complacency that can be fatal to success.  It is these words that ruined companies.

Put your heart and soul into what you’re doing. This is the reason, I always stress that it’s important to do one thing at a time, especially when people are starting off in their online marketing businesses.

Concentration and complete focus on the task at hand and get it done before touching anything else.  This comes through practice and exercising your will power to avoid all distractions during the task.

Let Gloom Not Loom

We are humans, and there are bound to be issues. No path is bereft of thorns and you would do well to understand this well before you begin any business. Be prepared for the hurdles and more than that be prepared to let them not affect you in a negative way.

Go ahead with great conviction and take all hurdles as stones to be thrown aside to continue on your path to success.

Honesty Is The Only Policy

The story of a young boy is often told when talking about success. The young man is supposed to have told his wife, “I will have a million dollars, and every dollar shall be a clean and honest dollar.”

This young man went on to make his million and he became the adviser of all local businesses. He enjoyed a unianimous vote in Congress and for eleven years, he was a safe counselor of the administration at Washington. He was a close friend and trust supporter of President Lincoln.

Honest money helps you sleep peacefully at night. We don’t want to hurt others or make others cry and use that money to feed our families.

There are several such people online who promise huge returns and people spend their last few dollars on that, hoping to earn it all back and more.

You don’t want any part of that. There are numerous ways of succeeding by offering real opportunities to people, by offering products and services that actually make a difference to them.

A Conclusion

“As a man thinks, so he is.”

I received an email from a young woman who wrote saying that she did not believe she had any special interest or passion. After exchanging many mails, I made a list of more than ten things that she ought to be able to do. And she did!

It’s important to size yourselves first to find out what you’re fitted to do. Once that decision is made, find out if your interest has long-term demand. If that turns out positive, divert your total attention to the task you have chosen. Take on the hurdles bravely and look at your goal.

Opening the doors to your future is in your hands. Do it today. Do it now. Do it with confidence.
