Winner or Loser: Do You Have a Choice?

Personal Development

Who am I? *Laughter like a villain in a cheap melodrama.*

Ask the losers …. Ask the birds in the trees … Ask the fish in the sea! Who am I? … I am THE winner!”

I am the one that won against all those losers! I am THE winner!”

Among a million people, the winners shine like Roman conquerors, while the losers sit quietly. While pride and confidence are the traits of the winners, losers wear the armor of timidity.

Fortunately, there exists only a thin line between the two, and quitters/losers have the ability to fling away their timidity just as easily as flinging out the arms.

But this “very” thin line is where a world of difference exists.

failureI know this sounds melodramatic, but I can think of no better way to get my point across.

If you’re in the winners club, sit back and enjoy this. If you’re unsuccessful but don’t want to end up on the losing side of life, I’m hoping you find something of value to take away – anything that can help change things in your favor.

I’m a believer in change. I believe we all have it in us to bring about a change in our attitudes, behavior and actions. I know we can change for the better. I’m confident that all it takes is a small step to cross that line that divides the winners and losers.

The Difference Between Winners And Losers

“I PROMISED my God I would do it.” Lincoln wrote this in his diary in 1862 when he issued his preliminary emancipation proclamation.

Great achievers and leaders had colossal faith in themselves and their achievements prove this. How could Joan of Arc have led and controlled the entire French army? The king obeyed everything she said and she led the army as easily as one would lead children.

Self-confidence and faith multiply the power of people, giving them the energy to lead. Paths open up and obstacles get out of the path from the intensity of positive thinking and self-confidence.

On the other hand, failures haunt people who doubt everything they do. They deprecate themselves and have no faith or confidence in their abilities. This is the proven law of the land. You become weak when you don’t trust yourself and the probability of “losing” increases. You develop the tendency to quit.

….and quitters cannot be winners.

You may have failed in spite of your confidence, so you may question this logic.

I agree that confidence does not assure a win, but it most certainly opens the doors to success and helps you achieve the maximum you can, while lack of it leads you directly to the door of failure.

Win or lose; which door would you choose? We all know the answer.

I have discussed this with marketers who come to me for advice. They decide on one thing and the next day it’s something else. Months pass by without any action, because they’re not sure if they can follow through. In their mind, everything looks big and others can do it but not them. I know that no amount of convincing can help, unless they’re open to change and they’re convinced of their own abilities. It’s easy to spot the winners and losers mentality.

The Time Has Come For You To Be A Winner

Time to turn about face; leave all thoughts of failure behind, don’t let anybody discourage you. Understand that the real difference between winners and losers is mindset. Make a promise to yourself that you’re going to be a winner.

All you need is an unwavering belief in yourself. It’s this that can take you ahead of your competition, it’s faith in self that can remove a million obstacles, its your confidence that will give you the power to face your goals with determination.

Research shows that imagination can help you change yourself. Imagination cuts between winners and losers.

You must first see a positive successful world before venturing towards it.

“If only I can get a 1000 visitors a day to my landing page.” “If only I can make $1000/day.”

These are common wishes and dreams. But merely dreaming about them is not going to change them. All the dreaming and wishing has to be accompanied by determination and grit.

“It’s what you visualize that you seek, and what you seek that you gain.”

Another Difference

This is specifically for online marketers. Many failures have resulted from getting carried away by the quest for easy money. There is no greater delusion than the thought that by investing very little or nothing, you end up making your life’s earnings.

Strong-willed people who have confidence in their abilities don’t go looking for easy ways. Even if they find something like that, they choose to rely on their own ability.

To be a winner, your attitude has to undergo a major change. The problem with losers, as we have discussed earlier, is their lack of self confidence. It’s this that leads them on the wrong route. They don’t believe that they can achieve anything but they need the money, so they choose the easy way out.

You’re an expert in your field that you’ve spent your life learning. If you can’t make money in what you’ve chosen, if you can’t get rich by doing something that’s proven, how do you expect somebody else to give you those riches for free?

A Conclusion

Remember the excitement you felt when you won that cup or achieved something you were proud of at school? We’ve all seen our share of failures in life. Being in the losing football team at school may not lead to problems in life, but in adulthood, being a winner is the only way to succeed in the game of life. Losers are left far behind, struggling to survive, unable to meet their goals and ending up as frustrated people who don’t see good in anything or in anybody.

If you’re on a path that leads nowhere, you may be trying to escape reality, trying to escape from something – yourself perhaps. Stop yourself because there’s nothing more terrifying than the unknown danger that lurks behind the “losing” door.

We don’t want that for ourselves. We want to be winners and we’re going to do all we can to achieve the status of a WINNER. The best part is – it really doesn’t take much.
